"I wanted the hair to flow with the dress so we chose a bombshell wavy look. Sofia is a sexy woman who can work a full volume look so we did a twist on a 60s style and made it modern by keeping it long with loose sexy waves and volume at the crown," said Atkin.



Follow Atkin's tips below to recreate the look:



1. Always start with the right foundation. Begin by washing with Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Volumizing Root Boost Shampoo and Conditioner to nourish the scalp and hair while also getting the volume and body from root to tip necessary to carry this style.



2. Use a volumizing mousse at the crown of the hair. Use a round brush to create volume and set the hair with velvet rollers.



3. Next, spray a texturizing spray throughout the rest of the hair and blowdry using a medium round brush for volume.



4. Once hair is dry, spritz an anti-humidity spray all over and brush through.



5. Use an 1 1/4" curling iron to set the hair. Wrap big sections of hair and curl up and away from the face.



6. Finally, comb the waves through with your fingers. Tease a little at the crown and finish off the look with a light spray of hairspray. If needed add a spray gloss to the ends.

Simple on the Red Carpet with Lena Dunham

As you may have seen, Lena Dunham (multiple award nominee for "Girls") looked amazing on the red carpet last night. Now, celebrity makeup artist Jo Strettell, the talent behind Lena's fresh face, shares her behind-the-scenes tips on how to recreate her look at home.



1. Start with a fresh canvas. Clean healthy skin allows makeup to go on evenly so natural beauty can shine through. Cleanse skin with Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes and follow with Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer. Both products are perfect even for sensitive skin and have no dyes, artificial perfumes or harsh irritants that can upset skin.



2. Apply a thin layer of foundation to even out the skin tone. After moisturizing, foundation will spread easily and can be effortlessly blended using a foundation brush. Follow with a touch of translucent powder to set the makeup.



3. For an element of drama, build out a strong eye by lining the lash line with a gel liner and fine brush. Use the liner to trace the crease of the eyelid and connect it to the outer corner of the eye and then sweep upward to create a "wingtip" effect.



4. Fill in the lid with a jumbo waterproof black liner that will stay put all evening long. Blend outward to soften lines and follow by coating lashes with several applications of deep black mascara.



5. Compliment the strong eye with a nude lip. Dab just a bit of concealer on the lips and follow with a touch of nude lip gloss in the center of the bottom lip for a polished look.

My final summer favorite scent is Daisy by Marc Jacobs.  I've been a fan of Daisy for a while but had not smelled Daisy "Eau So Fresh" until just a few weeks ago.  I love it!  It smells fresh and floral and not even a little bit over-powering.  This scent is perfect for summer but will carry over into fall, winter and spring too since it has such a clean and innocent smell.
