Get Re-Introduced to Noxzema! A Cult Classic!

I first remember using Noxzema when I was probably seven or eight years old and had my first horrible sunburn.  I remember that crisp smell filling my nostrils when my step mom opened up her jar of Noxzema and rubbed it over my beet red shoulders.  Did that ever feel good!  To this day any time I see or smell that familiar scent I think of her! 

Now, in my mid-thirties I'm doing everything I can not to succumb to the peer pressures of Botox (I'm trying to make it to 40 Botox-free) so I try to take the best possible care of my skin.  Did you know that moisturizing alone can visibly reduce the appearance of wrinkles?  Something I wish I had known a decade ago!  Another perk of being thirty something?  Acne!  I was acne free all through high school but sometime after I hit my late twenties I started breaking out a couple times each month.  And I'm talking monster, I'm going to perform self-surgery, acne.  Not pretty.  My skin has also gotten super sensitive within the past few years so I'm always leary of trying any new skin care products that I'm unfamiliar with.  Thankfully Noxzema is a brand I know and trust so I was thrilled to start using some of their acne products.

(That's not weird, right?)

Celebrity Hairstylist Angelo David Shares How You Can Get-The-Look

 

Kim Kardashian recently tweeted how much she is missing her bangs which she rocked on the April 2013 cover ofCosmopolitan Magazine. Celebrity hairstylist Angelo David of Angelo David Salon shares how you can get the look without committing to the cut!

 

1. Start by using the Angelo David Premier Volume Spray$18.50 to add volume to your hair.

Once hair is blended, create big soft waves using a 1 ½ - 2 to each section then break the waves by running your fingers through your hair.

 

5. Finish the look with a medium hold hairspray, for a firm hold without the stiffness.

Prepare hair for styling using the Angelo David Premier Volume Spray ($18.50 -www.angelodavid.com) and Angelo David Foaming Sea Silk Styler ($21.50 -www.angelodavid.com), to create texture. To punch in more texture to hair, create small curls using a 1 inch barrel curling iron and break the curls with your fingers. Create 5 different sections for twisting and braiding: nape, front, back, crown and temples. For each section, create a combination of twists, braid or knots followed by a backcombing technique using your fingers to create more volume. Gather each section to the back and create an almost messy bun, secured with pins. Finish the look with a strong hold hairspray.

Use bobby pins to hold the hair in place at the nape of your neck. After you have created your textured fishtail ponytail braid secure the ends with an elastic. 1) Start with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Sand Color all over the face

 

2) Using a blush brush, use Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze (a warm rose color) around the apples of the cheeks.

 

3) Around the eyelids up to the crease, apply Laura Mercier Luster Eye Colour in Celestial with an all over eye colour brush

 

4) Line the top and bottom eyelids with Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Smoke then lightly smudge the product. Finish with applying 2 coats of Laura Mascara in Black Color.
