Perfect Primers for Summer from Tarte & Smashbox!

I don't wear face primer every single day, but when I want my skin to appear absolutley flawless, say for a night out or when I know I'm going to be in front of the camera, I make sure an excellent primer goes on first.

Another new favorite face primer of mine is Photo Finish Luminizing Oil-Free Foundation Primer by one of my all time favorite brands, Smashbox.  This long-awaited addition to the legendary collection of Photo Finish primers adds just the right amount of luminosity.  With age fighting antioxidents such as green tea grape seed extract and Vitamins A, C and E, this oil free, smooth primer effortlessly fills lines and pores while extending the life of your foundation.

I used the Photo Finish Luminizing Foundation Primer alone, sans foundation when I ran out for some quick errands and the coverage was perfect over my SPF 30 moisturizer.

Face: Create a flawless with High Definition Healthy FX Foundation, applied with a sponge or foundation brush. Set this foundation with Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder, applied with a large powder brush over the entire face.

A soft rose color on the cheeks with Blush Rush color Heart Break. Dust on the cheek, back toward the ear.

Eyes: Using Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio, Headshot start with the lightest shade under the brow and on the inside corner of the eyelid. Dust the soft pink color across the eyelid up to the crease. Use the warm brown shade on the outer corners of the eye, blending lightly into the crease. And a stronger line under the eye.

Run a fine line around the entire eye with Be Discovered Jet Set Gel Eye Liner in the soft violet color called Idol.

Apply two coats of black Bionic Mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

Lips: Line and fill the lip with Limitless Lip Stain & Color Seal Balm in the vibrant red color called Sangria. Apply the stain twice for extra depth and top coat with the Color Seal Balm.

Eyes

1) Shadow – Smashbox Eyeshadow in obsidian color on top eye lids

2) Liner – Use a heavy blackliner on the top lids extending to the outer corner, for a full catlike effect, then on of bottom outer corner of the lash line. Use Smashbox Limitless Waterproof Liquid Liner pen in black

3) For extra voluminous lashes, you can apply false lashes to the outer corners of the eyes.

4) Mascara – For top and bottom lashes, use Smashbox Hyperlash in black

 

Face

1) Primer – Smashbox Photofinish foundation primer

2) Foundation – Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream spf 35 in fair

3) Blush – Around the apple of the cheeks use Smashbox’s Blush Rush in Flush

4) Setting Powder – Smashbox Photoset Finishing Powder spf 15 all over the face
