1) Start with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Sand Color all over the face

 

2) Using a blush brush, use Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze (a warm rose color) around the apples of the cheeks.

Angelo David, owner of theAngelo David Salon in New York City, created Sonja Tremont-Morgan’s Couture Wig forCatherine Ommanney’s “The Gift” book launch on Wednesday, October 26, 2012 atBobby Van’s “The Vault” Steakhouse.

Once Angelo saw the Lorena Sarbu dress that Sonja selected for the launch party, he was inspired to create a Marilyn Monroe look. Since Sonja typically graces the red carpet with her natural long hair, he felt that switching to a shorter style would be completely unexpected! To make it happen without a snip, he used a shortAngelo David Couture Wig, made of 100% premium European hair. It was prepped for styling withAngelo David Premier Volume Spray and Angelo David Zero Frizz Control.

After product prep, the wig was tousled dry, using a diffuser attachment on the blow dryer. Then natural waves were crisscrossed with a 1-inch barrel curling. For a totally natural look at the roots, the front hairline of the wig was subtly deepened to blend with Sonja's own hairline. About six weeks ago I was invited to to to try out some amazing products by RevitaLash.  Of course, I'd heard of the product but was curious to see if it really worked.  I'd heard that another eyelash enhancing product out there actually turns your eyes a different color so when I found out RevitaLash would NOT do that, I was ready!

Follow Atkin's tips below to recreate the look:

Simple on the Red Carpet with Lena Dunham

As you may have seen, Lena Dunham (multiple award nominee for "Girls") looked amazing on the red carpet last night. Now, celebrity makeup artist Jo Strettell, the talent behind Lena's fresh face, shares her behind-the-scenes tips on how to recreate her look at home.



1. Start with a fresh canvas. Clean healthy skin allows makeup to go on evenly so natural beauty can shine through. Cleanse skin with Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes and follow with Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer. Both products are perfect even for sensitive skin and have no dyes, artificial perfumes or harsh irritants that can upset skin.



2. Apply a thin layer of foundation to even out the skin tone. After moisturizing, foundation will spread easily and can be effortlessly blended using a foundation brush. Follow with a touch of translucent powder to set the makeup.



3. For an element of drama, build out a strong eye by lining the lash line with a gel liner and fine brush. Use the liner to trace the crease of the eyelid and connect it to the outer corner of the eye and then sweep upward to create a "wingtip" effect.



4. Fill in the lid with a jumbo waterproof black liner that will stay put all evening long. Blend outward to soften lines and follow by coating lashes with several applications of deep black mascara.



5. Compliment the strong eye with a nude lip. Dab just a bit of concealer on the lips and follow with a touch of nude lip gloss in the center of the bottom lip for a polished look.

 It's a summer of scents this season!  With favorite famous designers such as LACOSTE, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs releasing yummy summer scents, you and your main squeeze will be smelling good in the sun!

LACOSTE has just released a limited edition summer scent called "Beauty of the Game" inspired by a season of sports and competition.  This scent is for men and opens with a fresh, woody and herbal blend of grapefruit, rosemary, cardamom and cedar leaf.  The "heart notes" of the fragrance blend with a uniquely masculine, floral heart accord compromising a natural tuberose, ylang ylang and oblibanum that gives the scent its purity.  The base of LACOSTE's "Beauty of the Game" merges cedar wood and georgywood with fresher notes of vetiver.  The result is a timeless classic but with a masculine and woody tenacity!


We all know and love Calvin Klein's jeans and fragrance collection.  When CK One first came out in the 90's my best friend and I wore it religiously.  CK One now introduces it's sibling fragrance "One Summer" and it smells just like a beach day.   I love the appeal of a fragrance that can be worn by men and women, why is the the only one out there?

My final summer favorite scent is Daisy by Marc Jacobs.  I've been a fan of Daisy for a while but had not smelled Daisy "Eau So Fresh" until just a few weeks ago.  I love it!  It smells fresh and floral and not even a little bit over-powering.  This scent is perfect for summer but will carry over into fall, winter and spring too since it has such a clean and innocent smell.

1) Start with applying a tinted moisturizer, likeLaura Mercier Tinted Mositurizer SPF 20 oil free, will work best to pack in moisture and even out skin tone. Apply the product using your fingertips and distribute evenly onto the face

2) Next, ACCENTUATE THOSE CHEEKBONES – Give your face a healthy glow using a large powder brush andLaura Mercier Crème’s Cheek Colour in Blaze Color applied around the apples of the cheeks.
